UNICEF Head of Communications, Malam Rabiu Musa is dead

NAN reports that his son, Musa Rabiu, who verified the news to journalists in Kano, said the UNICEF official Rabiu Musa died on saturday 2nd of May 2020 at the age of 60.

He said
"My father died at about 3:00a.m on saturday, after fighting the sickness for a few days.

"Although, we observed the symptons that manifested in his body to be of Coronavirus, the outcome of the test we did is not yet out.

He complained a week ago, that he has sore throat and malaria, he became normal, after a few days of medication. A few days later, he complained that he was finding strenuous to breath.

He also complained that he lost his breath no matter how small he walked. So he was carried to the National Orthopaedic Hospital in Dala, on friday where he gave up the ghost.

As stated by his son, he has been buried according to Islamic rites.

The late Malam Rabiu Musa is survived by one wife and seven children.
